Geohot Declines $10000 Reward and Blasts Scammers

As reported earlier, GeoHot has succeeded in unlocking iPhone Baseband 05.11.07 using BlackSn0w. GeoHot was offered a reward of $10,000 for unlocking iPhone Baseband 05.11.07 but he declined the reward and blasts those reselling the unlock calling them scum.
BlackSn0w, the Unlock for iPhone Baseband 05.11.07 will be released of Nov 4th, 2009. GeoHot has posted this on his blog:
First off, Jody Sanders, I am declining your $10,000. Why? Because you, and the rest of the iPhone unlock sites out there are scum. You make money selling freeware; that’s not cool, and I am in no way going to legitimize it.
Seriously, the people who really lose here are the customers. These sites are full of blatant lies, claiming to have unlocks for 05.11.07 People buy them, and are told the unlock is in development, and the release date is unknown. Imagine you bought a cup of coffee and were told it’s in development? Recently, many of these sites sent out e-mails saying they made major breakthroughs and the unlock will be ready 11/04/09. Coincidence that that’s the release date of blacksn0w?
Geohot has asked users to help him in getting the truth out.

geohot first things are first i think you are great, i think you turning down the money really showed everyone that its not all always about the money,because if everyone doesnt reallize that with the talent&brains that you have you can make as much money as you want!!!the hell w/scum that wants nothing but to make money or ripping you off thanks for being the first smart person who gives a shit about people.john. i do have what would be a very important question to me-i have 2 iphones but i want to do what everone sais cannot be done-i need to make my iphones work w/boost moble because i like the iphone but i do not like at&t.i have spoken to apple and they say they cannot help me because the contract at&t hold with them i have to ask at&t to unlock my phone to work on boost moble–yeah sure thats going to happen real fast!!!!on you tube someone shows you how to unlock it to nextel or boost moble but you can clearly see its not for yeal i dont know how the expect you to believe it if you watch it the iphone is not even lit up when he fakes to use the direct connect!!!so geohot last but no least that leaves you!!can you please help me. apple said to me that the iphone 3g can be programed to wok on any carrier at&t lets it work on please goehot i know if you wanted to help me you can please contact me by phone 386-338-8159 or jrapicka@aol.com i would greatly appreciate your help my buddy said im stupid to try to email you and said you would nt help me i replied i believe he might its simply just another challeng for geo hope to here from you soon you can get me faster on phone number.thank you and keep up the exelent work thanks again john
