I Am Rich App secrets revealed with Youtube Video Walkthrough
August 11th, 2008 by iPhoneTechZone
This is the last time I’ll talk about that blasted I Am Rich app, I promise. But something recently popped up on The Boy Genius Report that I just couldn’t ignore. You can now watch a video of the app in action!
Turns out, the app was exactly as advertised. You get the image of a red jewel and if you press the “i” you get a very affirming mantra. Of course, $1000 isn’t quite enough to get a typo-free, grammatically correct mantra. That would just be too much to ask, I guess. It reads:
I am rich
I deserv itI am good,
healthy &
successful
Even though some have complained about Apple’s seemingly arbitrary removal of apps, you have to admit, removing this one was a good call. You can watch the video of this envy-inducing app below.

The $1000 iPhone Application
August 6th, 2008 by iPhoneTechZone
While applications like NetShare continue to fail Apple’s strict approval process, there are plenty of “questionable” applications that seem to make it through just fine. The latest breed of the bunch is an application called I am Rich.
I am Rich, priced at a whopping $999.99, is an application that does nothing but show a red gem on the screen. It is being pushed by developer Armin Heinrich as an application for the elites.
The red icon on your iPhone or iPod touch always reminds you (and others when you show it to them) that you were able to afford this.
It’s a work of art with no hidden function at all.
After pressing the (i) on the main page, a secret mantra will be shown. This may help you to stay rich, healthy and successful.
Let’s hope Apple takes down the application as soon as possible, especially considering how easy it is to accidentally buy apps from the app store.
